The Fly Casting Institute (FCI) is focused on advancing and integrating the science, medicine and art of fly casting through instructional programs centered around fly-casting analysis, fly-caster training, and biomechanical/medical research.

June 30, 2009 - CLINIC UPDATE: After a very successful "mini-clinic" earlier this month, the FCI is partnering with Marcus Daly Hospital in Hamilton, Montana to present the first Marcus Daly/Fly Casting Institute Clinic from August 21 - 23, 2009. The hospital's new rehab center is a great facility, and the clinic will be held in conjunction with the hospital's own rehab professionals. If you are interested in attending this Clinic, us as soon as possible.

March 23, 2009 - Registration for the Summer 2009 FCI Clinics is now closed. Thanks to all who will be attending, and we look forward to seeing you in July!

August 22, 2008 - The FCI will be featured on the Outdoor Channel on the morning of September 5, and then again during primetime on September 7. Update (12/08): The program is also to be showing over the Christmas holiday timeframe.

April 21, 2008 - FCI Research Associate Josh Allen has had his paper on fly-casting biomechanics published by the international journal, Sports Biomechanics. An abstract of the paper can be found here. Congratulations, Josh!
